Peak-A-Boo Pickup Day


Wear your mask and pick up your supplies!

August 25th 2020 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Independence Families

On Monday, June 8th your child will be welcomed come to Independence and return their loaned laptops and retrieve their personal belongings. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend accordingly as this will be the only opportunity to return and pick up items. ONLY those students who have to pick up items or return the laptop are to report. Items will be available at a table set up at the main entrance of Independence from 10:30am-2:30pm.

Again, ONLY students who have either a laptop to return or items to retrieve are permitted on campus. All students reporting to the school is encouraged to wearing a mask for their protection and the safety of our staff.


**Items not retrieved on June 8, 2020 will be discarded. Students who do not return the laptop will be assessed a fee.

Online Learning Schedule

Daily students are expected to log into Google Classrooms, check the school website, or virtual learning tool identified by the teacher for learning task. Assignments will be posted and accessed each day. The classroom teacher will determine submission times and dates.

In 2004 Independence School Local 1 was founded in order to provide Baltimore students an opportunity to learn differently.

We are a public charter school in the Hampden neighborhood serving approximately 130 9th-12th graders from all over Baltimore.
